The health benefits of Daikon seem to be endless.

To start off, it is very low in calories and thus a great choice if you are trying to lose weight.

Daikon is rich in enzymes (diastase, amylase, and esterase) that aid you in digesting fatty oils and starchy foods.

There have been a few studies that indicate that Daikon may have some benefit in fighting or preventing cancer. Daikon is a good source of many of the same compounds that give broccoli its anti-cancer reputation.

Finally, it is an excellent source of vitamin C, phosphorus and potassium.
